50～60年代を中心に某Ｅ社が軍やワークウェアメーカー向けのユニフォームシャツに使用していた素材を解析して再現。現代ではポプリンというと細番手の単純な平織生地のことを指すことが多いが、この生地は本来の定義通り中細番手の糸を経糸に、緯糸には太番手の糸を使用し、ヨコ方向に細かい畝の走った密で柔らかい地合いの生地に。緯糸には同じ太さのS撚りの糸とZ撚りの糸を交互に打ち込みことで、生地に安定性とふくらみを出している。

Fabric originally used in the 50s and 60s by Company E on naval and workwear unform shirts is analyzed and reinterpreted through this offering. Modern poplin often refers to a fine count fabric with simple plain weave however, this fabric, true to its original definition utilizes a fine count thread in the warp and course count thread in the weft to create fine vertical ridges for a soft feel. A mix of left and right hand lay threads create a fabric with stability and bulge.
