タテに2色、ヨコに1色、計3色の糸を使用して織ったこの生地は、ターゲットとする色を設定したのち、その色に含まれる要素を1Base(基礎となる色目)、2Hi-light(最も明るい要素)、3Noise(違和感のある雑味)の3要素に分解して抽出。それぞれの要素を強調したあらたな色を作りそれを再度、織りで掛け合わせることで、単純な後染めでは決して出せない陰影や奥行きに富んだ無地の色目を作り出している。快適な服地としての糸質・番手・打ち込み本数のバランス、そして洗濯後の風合いやシワの入り方に至るまで様々な検証の末にたどり着いた黄金比によるシャツ地。
